Happy January, 2023

We are happy to begin a new year at Wimberley Stitch Studio.  We have been cleaning and re-organizing since inventory and yet my workroom is a mess!  That's next on my list.  I know I enjoy creating when my area is tidy.  Did your quilting/sewing space get turned upside down?  I've been looking at some neat videos on completely reorganizing and cleaning our spaces.  I tend to tear everything apart reorganizing and then be frustrated because I want to be quilting.

trash donate keep rehome

One of the ideas I liked was just setting a timer and spending 15 or 30 minutes working on an area, then let it go and come back to it for another session later.   I also liked the idea of putting cardboard boxes out with "Donate", "Trash" and "Keep" & "Relocate".  As soon as the boxes are full, stop and donate, trash or put away.   The next session you do the same with the next pile of stuff.  Let me know what works for you or if you try this.

We needed to restructure our classes and put deadlines on them so the teachers can better plan.  We and the teachers work to schedule classes that have been requested and that will offer great value for you.  We have to discontinue refunds on classes. Teachers usually have a 3-student minimum for the class to 'make' so it's not fair for those who signed up to miss the class when someone cancels and doesn't make the minimum.

Check out all of our classes online.      The following classes have deadlines coming up:

stitchy sue gnome notes

Make the most of your yardage. Cut out the larger shapes before turning to the smaller ones. Even though I try to be super careful and follow the ‘measure twice, cut once’ rule, mistakes can happen. If I accidentally miscut a larger shape, it’s usually possible to cut a smaller shape out of that oops piece.

Have a fabulous week and can't wait to see you again!
