Intro to Quilting, Step Five: Straight-Line Quilting

One-day class and introduction to quilting, In this class you will learn how to use your machine to do straight-line quilting on your quilt top.  In this class we will be practicing on small blocks provided to learn the techniques.  After class you may stay and continue to practice what you've learned either on other practice blocks or you can begin on your quilt.  YOU MUST HAVE A WALKING FOOT FOR YOUR MACHINE!   Each Intro to Quilting class will build more skill and technique knowledge.
We are adding Intro to Quilting: Binding your Quilt.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must know how to use a sewing machine and basic sewing skills. If you've never used a sewing machine or do not have basic sewing machine skills, please take Sewing 101 first.
Materials Included: Class, Handouts and practice blocks for quilting
Requirements: Sewing machine and basic sewing tools, including thread, needles, scissors. 100% cotton, Quilt-shop quality fabrics in amounts desired for you chosen quilt size. THIS CLASS REQUIRES A WALKING FOOT FOR YOUR SEWING MACHINE. PLEASE CHECK TO BE SURE YOUR HAVE THIS OR ORDER ONE PRIOR TO CLASS. We will provide practice materials with batting and backing, but when you begin quilting your quilt top, you will need your own batting and backing, plus appropriate quilting thread for your machine.
