Sew Camp for Beginners

Adults and Children.  Register by June 11 for June 18 camp.  Register by July 2 for July 8 camp. 
Ages 9 and up. 
Monday-Friday.  2 1/2 -  3 hour classes.  You will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, straight line stitching, seam allowances and more while making fun and useful projects.

We do not rush students to finish, so the number of projects finished depends on their ability.  Our goal is to teach them technique and build their skills.
Possible projects finished are:
Pin cushion
Magic Pillowcase
Zipper Pouch.
More projects if they finish.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Ability to follow directions and safety procedures, use scissors.
Materials Included: Fabric for projects.
Requirements: --Sewing machine or make arrangements to use one in class. If you bring a machine, please check that it is good working order prior to class day. --Good quality sewing scissors, ball or flower straight pins, frixion marking pen, seam ripper, bobbins, hand sewing needle and thread (*kit available - $35) --Student will have several choices of fabric for projects, but if you'd like any other fabric you can purchase with 10% student discount.. --* If you any or all of the tools mentioned that are good sewing quality you can purchase just what you need at a discount, but the kit is heavily discounted to be sure each student has what they need.

Instructor Bio: Mary Daily has years of experience working with children and adults. She loves sharing her sewing knowledge with them.
