Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Beginner, ability to cut out fabric motifs, trace and play! You don't need any sewing knowledge or skill to create a college. However, you will need to 'finish' it by either quilting it densely to permanently hold the fabric or seal it to frame. It can be 'finished' with quilting by a Longarm Machine Quilter. We offer this service if needed.

Instructor: Linda Hasselberg
Instructor Bio: Linda is the owner of Wimberley Stitch Studio and designer of Hassle-Free Patterns in Wimberley, Texas. Learning to sew as a child, she was a self-taught quilter through the 80s and 90s. Pursuing her passion after her children were older, she never turned back. She took classes, loved to quilt daily, then purchased a longarm. In 2013, after relocating to the Texas Hill Country, Wimberley Stitch Studio was born. When the Textile Collage patterns began arriving to the shop, she and her team became interested in trying it to help her clients understand how it worked. Requests for classes began. Intimidated by the complexity of these patterns, students both feared and desired to create beautiful collages. That is when Linda, who loves to simplify complex patterns, became obsessed with this art form. Teaching workshops and guild lectures, Linda loves to encourage others that they can create a collage masterpiece using a published pattern and then, if they choose, branch out to design their own.
