Crazy Quilting: Let's Go Crazy!

Though there is a no right or wrong way (or crazy quilt police), there are more balanced and pleasing ways to create your blocks.  They can be very symmetrical or you can use a variety of layouts to make it more 'crazy.' Begin collecting various types of fabrics.... cottons, decorator fabrics, satins, laces, velvet... trims... lace, beads, buttons, ribbons... and embroidery thread.  You will need a foundation fabric.  We have muslin that works great for foundations.

You will learn the basics of constructing crazy quilt blocks using various fabrics and trims, ideas for embellishing with beads, embroidery and ribbons, etc., squaring up blocks to create the beginnings of a wall hanging.  You will not finish your project in class, but will have a start and the instruction to continue on your own.

Additional classes or crazy quilting bee meetings can be planned if there is enough interest.
