Raw-Edge Applique using Susan Cranshaw Designs

Explore the techniques used to create your own Raw-edge Fusible Applique with a focus on the Horned Toad pattern.  You can
purchase and use any of Susan Cranshaw patterns, but we will be using the Horned Toad to teach the basic techniques.

Requires purchase of one of the Desert Series patterns, fabric and notions required for the class.

Skill Level: intermediate
Skill Details: Intermediate Sewing/Quilting
Requirements: Requires pattern, Steam-A-Seam 2 Lite, Quilters Request batt, tear away stabilizer, Karen k Buckley or comparable scissors, non-stick press mat, a collection of batik fabrics suitable for your pattern, decorative threads, top-stitch machine needle, a working sewing machine with free-motion foot. Also, if you have a light box, bring it. One available to share at class.

Instructor Bio: Linda Chase and Merilyn Barney took classes from and sat in on many classes Susan taught. We bring what we know from her teaching and our own experience with Raw-Edge Applique. We know we can never duplicate Susan's knowledge or class and will never be able to, but we will teach you all we can about this artistic process so you can create your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
